Dr. Perdita Permaul, MD

Perdita is a board certified pediatric Allergist/Immunologist, physician scientist and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. She then moved to Boston and continued training at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.

In addition to my clinical work, Perdita is active in clinical/translational asthma research. She received grant funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study the interaction between childhood obesity, the environment and asthma. She is the author of a number of scientific papers, reviews and book chapters and has presented her research at regional, national and international meetings. Perdita is also a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
